Free School Supplies at 12th Annual Back to School Celebration on August 20!

Parents and students can get free supplies, enjoy fun activities and entertainment from 10AM-1PM at 11 locations statewide. For the 12th year in a row, school children in Providence and other parts of the state can get access to free school supplies at the Annual Back to School Celebration. The event, which also features lots of fun activities, food and entertainment, takes place on Saturday, August 20 from 10AM - 1PM at the following locations:

Providence

325 Hope Street - Hope High School

721 Chalkstone Avenue - Nathanael Greene Middle School

325 Ocean Street - Parent Information and Student Registration Office

50 Valley Street - United Way of RI

109 Bucklin Street - West End Community Center

Central Falls: 150 Fuller Avenue - Veterans Memorial Elementary School

Cumberland: 364 Broad Street - Bernard F. Norton School

Newport: 130 Van Zandt Avenue - Coggeshall Elementary School

Pawtucket: 1 Columbus Avenue - PawSox McCoy Stadium

West Warwick: 505 Wakefield Street - Wakefield Hills Elementary School

Woonsocket: 340 South Main Street - St. James Baptist Church

This year’s Back to School Celebration main sponsors are Sodexo School Services, Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island, and Citizens Bank Foundation. The event has attracted nearly 12,000 students and families and is done in partnership with thirty-five community agencies across the state, including the City of Providence and Providence Schools. School children must be present at the event to receive free supplies.
