Become a Foster Parent

Thank you for your interest in foster care!

Every day we have children of all ages in Rhode Island who are in need of safe, nurturing homes and competent caregivers. Some babies, children and youth need shorter term placements - emergency or respite care, and others require stable longer term arrangements. All types of foster care are desperately needed, and the positive impact that our caregivers have on the lives of these children is enormous.

For more information on fostering in Rhode Island, please visit the DCYF website. Robin Perez, the Foster Parent Recruiter at DCYF is available to answer any questions you may have. She can be reached at 401.528.3791. She hosts monthly informational meetings where potential foster parents meet a current foster parent and learn more about the challenges and rewards of fostering!
